Jade University in Oldenburg hosted the BIM Game team for the last time.
The news of the BIM Game was particularly busy on February 27th and 28th. Indeed, no less than three events took place in parallel at Jade University: the BIM Tag, the stress test and the transnational organization meeting. The teacher. Dr.-Ing. Jörg Härtel was the conductor of these three events that he articulated perfectly. If the first two points have already been the subject of articles and videos, the third remains to highlight. It will be done now !
Lionel Croissant, project coordinator, presented the upcoming schedule. The BIM Game project requires project involvement through four events including the Oldenburg BIM Tag was the first step. Future events will highlight almost all participating countries. First Brussels in April, then the EUBIM of Valencia in May and finally the closure of the project in Besançon in June.
The last six months of the project have as a taste of the end of classes and homework to make ! This meeting provided an update on the distribution of deliverables to be finalized and the latest deadlines to come. Indeed, at the end of the project, the BIM Game platform will be available to interested people with a set of usable scenarios. This last phase of the project is therefore essential to its success !
Towards the final sprint!
In a second time, Carla Pütz presented the video realized during the last stress test of the University of Wupertal. Students from the University of Wuppertal have designed this video. She presents the BIM Game and its challenges through the example of the stress test scenario.
During this meeting, the team welcomed a newcomer representing the ULG : Charlotte Dautremont. Charlotte is currently preparing the scenario to be used at the Brussels event in April. This scenario will take place at the Brussels LIRL. Information is already available in a previous article. Maciej Wojtasiewicz, from DATACOMP, helped to structure the scenario with Charlotte. The creation of a BPMN diagram is a complex phase and the multiplication of points of view makes it possible to anticipate the possible paths in the course of a teaching scenario.
To close the day, Jesus Alfaro presented the result of the stress test which he had imagined the scenario. Spanish, Italian and Belgian students did a remarkable job. Despite a great diversity of software used according to the roles and relative interoperability, the students managed to create an elegant and practical project.
These two days will have been intense and in the image of the events to come. The BIM Game enters the final sprint!
